Meet Emelyn.
A Fairhope, Alabama native, Emelyn is now our #GirlBoss campus director for SMU in Dallas. What’s first on the agenda? The Knox-Henderson neighborhood.
Knox- Henderson is Emelyn’s favorite Dallas spot. Radiating with shops, bars, and restaurants in all directions, this neighborhood still manages to have a cozy vibe despite its super central Dallas location. But first things first, coffee.
A local favorite, Houndstooth Coffee Shop.
Wondering where all of these colors are coming from? Walk around to the back of Houndstooth Coffee Shop.
For amazing views of the city and a kick ass moscow mule, check out HG Sply Co. Looking over Greenville Ave, this is the spot for seeing the amazing Dallas skyline.
Then, just head across the street for some sweet treats at Joy Macarons.
Take a stroll on Greenville Ave. Upper Greenville is known for the more urban, upscale crowd and Lower Greenville is the bohemian, festive scene.
Chill out from that Dallas heat at Steel City Pops.
Of course, we had to end our day in the hippest hood in Dallas. Deep Ellum in Lower Greenville was the mecca for jazz and blues in the 1920’s and today, it boasts a thriving nightlife scene, fun eateries, art galleries, and one-of-a-kind shops.
Go celebrate summer in Dallas!
Special thanks to the amazing Brooke Meitzler for the photography.
