I was bound to settle down in my old age. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To those who don\u2019t know me, I don\u2019t know you but I can tell we are gonna have that \u2018I love you b*tch. *guitar strum* I ain\u2019t ever gonna stop loving ya, b*tch\u2019 relationship. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So, that\u2019s like, really cool ;D<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I didn\u2019t choose to date Netflix, they chose to date me. It happened in a blink of an eye. One moment I was studying for my midterms and then\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>BOOM<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> I had compiled a list of 587 movies to watch before I die. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When I came out of my procrastination fog, the realization that I just commited the worst commitment-phobe cardinal sin of all the galaxy hit me hard. \u00a0I had committed to watching 587 movies before I die. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This type of commitment translates best to a Las Vegas elopement, because till death do us part, baby.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Watch 587 movies before I die?<\/strong> Challenge Accepted.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Do it by myself?!<\/strong> Hell Naw, I\u2019m bringing you netflix-bingers with me.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Wait, Really?<\/strong> Ya homie, like RLLY RLLY. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each week I\u2019m going to share my thoughts of a movie I watched. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NO, this isn\u2019t a review, this is just someone venting to a friend about the latest in her dating life. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Let&#8217;s get venting, shall we?! \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong> Movie:<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> BIG (1998)<\/span>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>Run Time:<\/b><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 2hrs 10mins<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Big (1988) Original Trailer.\" width=\"580\" height=\"435\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/TbeAihy-ru8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>At this point, I\u2019m totally in the honeymoon phase of dating Netflix.<\/p>\n<p>They are buttering me up and showing me their best selves. I should care, but how could I when I just spent 2 hours of quality time with Tom Hanks.<\/p>\n<p>So hey, don\u2019t judge me but I think Netflix and I might be in this for the long haul.<\/p>\n<p>BIG is about a 13 year old boy, Josh Baskin, who walked up to this creepy carnival machine called \u2018Zoltar Speaks\u2019 and wishes to be \u2018BIG.\u2019 Next day, you guessed it fam, he wakes up as a 30 year-old busting out of his PJs. Josh roughs it in NYC while he\u2019s scared sh*tless before becoming a hotshot at a toy company.<\/p>\n<p>I mean seriously this kid dances on a floor piano with the CEO, has a trampoline in his apartment, dates a girl boss, becomes a VP without a degree, hangs with Zoltar again, and heads back home 13 again.<\/p>\n<p>Basically, the point of the whole movie is that Josh Baskin is a legend and we are all mere mortals.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>The Vent: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-6002 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/curtsyapp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/zotar.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"320\" height=\"209\" \/>Zoltar is creepy AF and even 13 year old me would\u00a0have been feeling\u00a0squirmy so,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">dear sweet Josh, that was just so dumb. Like for real, take a look at Zoltar.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Josh should\u2019ve taken a lesson from his alter\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ego Forrest Gump. Seriously dude,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u2018Run forrest run\u2019 when he wakes up all man &amp; sees\u00a0his Mom. <\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BIG is crazy good for a million reasons, but what solidified it as the real deal in my mind was Josh\u2019s pure kindness. He may have got his wish to be \u2018BIG\u2019, but at the end of the day, Baskin was just a &#8216;BIG&#8217; kid taking on the world with a bunch of jaded adults. Josh Baskin wasn&#8217;t jaded, thus making so many adults cooler because of that. Big comes down to this, as we age we are bound to experience <em>the good, the bad, and the ugly.<\/em> It&#8217;s our choice to let the &#8216;ugly&#8217; jade us or to respond with pure kindness so that the world gets so much cooler for it.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-6003 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/curtsyapp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/big.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"280\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Next time you&#8217;re looking to be inspired, I \u00a0recommend watching\/rewatching\/re-enacting BIG.
