Since our launch in January, 4,000 women have signed up, 2,000 dresses have been posted and those dresses have been rented 400 times.<\/p>\n<p>We started at the University of Mississippi but moved out to Mountain View, CA to participate in the summer batch of Y Combinator. We\u2019ve raised $400,000 including the Y Combinator investment.<\/p>\n<p>This summer, we\u2019re working to expand the service to 25 schools across the South. We will\u00a0have 10,000 people using Curtsy by the start of the school year.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/heycurtsy.com\/blog\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-748\" src=\"https:\/\/curtsyapp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/download.png\" alt=\"download\" width=\"218\" height=\"60\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><strong>But we need your help<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>As Curtsy\u2019s first marketer you will be a part of the leadership team and help shape brand, marketing, and product strategy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What we value<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We want to be the best at getting better<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>What you\u2019ll be doing<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Work with the Director of Marketing to set goals for our growth<\/li>\n<li>Launch and grow Curtsy at colleges across the country<\/li>\n<li>Lead a Campus Director program with over 20+ student leaders and up-and-coming marketers<\/li>\n<li>Oversee our social media and content marketing strategy<\/li>\n<li>Write effective copy that explains what Curtsy is and how it works<\/li>\n<li>Create visuals that aid Curtsy\u2019s marketing efforts<\/li>\n<li>Identify and establish partnerships with small businesses and individuals that we can work with and grow alongside.<\/li>\n<li>Wear many hats (and dresses!), switch contexts often and help out as needed, regardless of job description or title<\/li>\n<li>Use data to inform decisions and learn over time<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Are you familiar with or eager to learn:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Content marketing<\/li>\n<li>Guerilla marketing<\/li>\n<li>Paid acquisition (Google Adwords, Facebook, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Email marketing and drip campaigns<\/li>\n<li>Virality and referral marketing<\/li>\n<li>Adobe\u2019s Creative suite<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Do you have\u2026<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>A bias towards action? In other words, do you get sh*t done?<\/li>\n<li>A deep understanding of the needs and wants of women age 18-22 years old?<\/li>\n<li>Marketing and design chops? Can you come up with the idea for a marketing campaign and jump into Illustrator or Photoshop and make it come alive?<\/li>\n<li>An eye for strong brand experiences and advertising?<\/li>\n<li>A BA\/BS degree or the equivalent work experience?<\/li>\n<li>Calmness in the face of uncertainty?
